Building work is progressing well at the site of our new community hub and Church in Compton.

 

Following the success of our Community Hub and Church in Finchfield we plan to provide the same for the residents of Compton. We have now entered into a 100 year lease with Wolverhampton City Council to take over the 'redundant boys club' in Henwood Road. Following 18 months feasibility work and help from The Church Growth Trust we have obtained planning consent for extensive improvements. Our church members have given a six figure sum towards the project and we are now applying  for grant funding support. The work on phase one has started and further phases will follow as funds are secured. In addition to our newsletters to local residents we have also  received many helpful comments in response to our community consultation survey which was sent to local residents recently.We are keen to ensure the community have the opportunity to be involved and have a 'place to belong'. Compton does not have a community hub or church currently and we are receiving much support from local people.
